CAREER SKILLS ACHIEVEMENT PROGRAMCareer Skills Achievement is a series of six workshops This program, developed by Canadian Federation of Business and Professional Women, is available to BPW members and guests. Members and guests can attend the workshop and/or the dinner meeting that follows. Mentoring(Determine how to find, utilize and be a mentor on the road to success) This workshop will assist you in feeling more confident that you can meet your career goals, feel you have the
potential for success in your career, learn the steps to take mentoring goals to completion, communicate effectively in a mentoring relationship, and
understand the benefits of becoming a mentor.
Gender Equity(Preventing and dealing with harassment in the workplace) This workshop will assist you in understanding the definition of harassement, realize the
effects of harassment, identify harassment and become aware of what you can do if you experience harassment in the workplace.
Business Etiquette(Business Etiquette in the 21st Century) This workshop will assist you in recognizing the importance of business etiquette for career success, will help
you become more comfortable as a business host, and show you how to apply the principles of courtesy in all the areas of communication.
Time Management(Making time for what matters most) Time management is an essential skill for working women in this fast paced world. This workshop
will provide an opportunity for you to review, renew and refurbish your time management skills. It will present the basic concepts and
techniques of time managements that can be utilized in all aspects of your personal and professional life.
Communication(Getting your message across in 30 seconds or less) This workshop will assist you in improving your ability to communicate by composing effective persuasive messages that can be delivered in approximately 30 seconds. Meeting Management(Making the most of Meetings: Leading and Participating) This workshop will assist you in developing the ability to organize, chair and participate in a collaborative meeting process. You will be able to use these skills in your personal life as well as in the workplace. |
