CAREERS UNLIMITED

2009 is the 31st year that BPW Regina has organized and hosted the Careers Unlimited event to provide career options and guidance to current Grade 10, 11 and 12 female students from Regina and surrounding area high schools. This event is free to students thanks to the generous support provided from the many Careers Unlimited sponsors.

Students participating in Careers Unlimited have the opportunity to meet with a number of Career Women from various professions within the community to discuss specific career paths, education required to reach this career goal, monetary expectations and basic pros and cons of choosing this type of occupation. The event is organized so there are 3 to 4 resource women in similar fields, but different occupations at each table, so that students have an opportunity to network with up to 8 resource women in two sessions.

In conjunction with this event is a trade show featuring BPW sponsors as well as post secondary institutions. The 2009 event will be held on Wednesday, November 4th at the Conexus Arts Centre in Regina. For info, contact Ramona Miazga at 791-7691 or rmiazga@ReMax.net
