EDUCATIONAL BURSARIES

Each year BPW Regina sponsors an Educational Bursary to encourage and assist women in their continuation of post-secondary education.The value of the education award is a total of $750.00 which will be awarded in equal amounts in November and January.

BUSINESS AND PROFESSIONAL WOMEN'S ORGANIZATION - REGINA

EDUCATION AWARD

ELIGIBILITY

• Be a mature woman (23 years+) out of school for at least three years prior to continuing post secondary education
• Have successfully completed at least one academic year in post secondary education and is enrolled as a student for an additional year of post secondary education. (Note: second semester studies must be pursued for eligibility of award.)
• Be from Regina or the immediate surrounding area
• Be attending a Regina post-secondary educational institution (U of Regina, SIAST, FNUC)
• Be in serious financial need or live under extraordinary financial pressure.
• Have not received a BPW Education Award in the past

CONDITIONS

1. Complete application form in its entirety
2. Provide previous year's academic transcripts and verification of continuing enrollment in post secondary education
3. Provide the required references
4. Provide verification of continuing second semester studies (by January 7)
5. Be available for a personal interview (if requested). This would be scheduled prior to the second week in November.

OBLIGATIONS of the RECIPIENT

Attend the Regina Business and Professional Women's Organization December dinner meeting (December 7 for 2009) to accept the award and to make a short acceptance speech. The dinner is complimentary to the recipient.

APPLICATION

The completed application and references must be postmarked by November 9th each year. Applications received after this date will not be considered.
